According to reports, a new power adapter with the Huawei branding and model number HW-100400C00 has received 3C certification. The adapter, which is manufactured by Yada Electronics Co. Ltd. Has an extremely high output rating of 10V at 4A. This results in a power output of 40W, which is twice as high when compared to OnePlus’ Dash Charge Technology which uses a 5V/4A (20W) rating and can charge your phone up to 60% in just 30 minutes. Huawei’s own Super Charge technology found on current smartphones has an output rating of 22W. Back in 2016, the company had launched the Honor Magic smartphone, which was a feature galore, and had support for fast charging at a rating of 5V at 8A which also results in 40W power delivery. Thanks to this, the smartphone could be charged completely in the span of 45 minutes. However, the next-generation Huawei Super Charge showcased in the report is said to charge the smartphone from 0-90 in just about 30 minutes, which is on par with Oppo’s Super VOOC technology. When compared to other fast charging technologies like Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, which takes 30 minutes to charge a smartphone from 0-50%, Huawei seems to have developed a battery charging technology which is incredibly fast.
While we’re not sure yet as to when Huawei will debut this technology in its smartphones or which smartphone will use this technology first, the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 series of phones might be in contention to sport the all new fast charging tech from Huawei.
